Residency Program
Tenuta Valente Arts Villa is open to artists of all disciplines and levels of experience. Artists can apply to be in residency for a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 4 weeks, with three fixed booking options: 1 week, 2 weeks, or 4 weeks.
At the moment our residency is self-funded. We are just recently established, so we are currently unable to provide financial support, but we will gladly assist in the artist’s grant-seeking process by providing a letter of recommendation if needed.
The residency fee is €350 per week per person.
As our wish is to renew and cherish the bond between our region and art, we welcome artists in a serene and comfortable enviroment, perfect to inspire the creative process and to encourage the building of an international community.

Living and working at the Arts Villa
During the residency, each artist is provided with a private en-suite bedroom and access to a shared studio.
The Arts Villa features a spacious and bright kitchen, fully equipped with all essential amenities. Residents must take care of their own meals during their stay.
Weekly cleaning is provided by the Arts Villa; however, residents are kindly expected to contribute to maintaining the shared spaces clean and tidy.
The residency fee include: electricity, rates, air-conditioning, bedding, towels, WiFi, washing machine, dish washer, cleaning materials and cleaning of rooms weekly.
Our studio is fully available for the creative endeavors of our residents. We value the benefits of meeting across disciplinary boundaries and engaging with different artistic experiences; we hope that sharing the same creative space will be both stimulating and enjoyable for all residents.
Artists are free to work at their own pace, always in a spirit of mutual respect and consideration.
Residents are not required to confine their practice to the studio: the surroundings of Tenuta Valente offer an inspiring landscape, ideal for any outdoor creative work, like en plain air painting!
There is no production requirement during the residency at Tenuta Valente. Residents are free to focus entirely on their own projects, but presentations, workshops, or exhibitions are always welcome and can be organised in collaboration with the Arts Villa.

Stay with us
The Arts Villa offers five en-suite bedrooms for residents:
On the ground floor, there is one double room and one larger room that can accommodate between two and four guests. These rooms are fully accessible and free of architectural barriers.
On the first floor, there are three double rooms.
Artists are welcome to share the residency experience with their partners, children, or friends. Please note that fees will be adjusted according to the number of guests.
We do love animals but we are unable to allow pets to stay.
